WOW Biolabs

Working with Six Red Marbles and McDougal Littell, programmed components, including shell, for WOW BioLabs. The BioLabs consisted of 14 separate interactive labs, ranging from such subjects as calorimetry to bird responses. The shell included features such as printing of lab reports and integration of a “notebook” that would keep track of user-entered data throughout the labs.

A five-part series of educational CD-ROMs teaching middle-school math within interactive mystery stories. Students move through a cartoon 3D world rich with odd characters to discover the climax of each story, solving math problems along the way. Winner of Apple Design Award. Served as writer, technical director, and designer for multiple aspects of product, including interactive 3D environment, Quicktime, QTVR, and non-linear story structures.

Silent Spring

Produced for Educational Web Adventures and the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, this online and CD-ROM-based project celebrates Stax soul music of the 1960s and 70s with lively interactives and lesson plans. In “The Stax River” interactive, you can trace musicial influences on the signature Stax sound with some of Stax’s biggest hits. “Mix a Song in the Stax Studio” lets you layer instrumental tracks to arrange your own soul song.
