Species Explorer

Species Explorer is an independent project created by Max Media, with the goal of connecting people to their local wildlife. The project will use both mobile and web-based components to allow entering nature observations, sharing within an online community of other “species explorers,” adding geocode and image data, and much more. This project is currently in production.

Worked with mDog to produce a Flash Lite content browser for some of mDog’s high profile clients in the publishing industry. mDog is in charge of “mobilizing” content for a virtual who’s who of publishing, including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, MarketWatch, Barron’s, Billboard, Computerworld, and many more. This project is currently in production.

Untravel Media Interactive Travel Media

Worked with Untravel Media, a mobile startup, to produce the Flash Lite client for their walking tour product. Untravel Media “offers an end-to-end solution for easily creating immersive location-based media for mobile.” Max Media programmed the Flash Lite component of Untravel’s “Mobile Narrative System” which serves as the platform for running the tours on various mobile devices, including iRiver Clix, Symbian, and Windows Mobile. This project is currently in production.

Leapfrog Backyardigans game

Hasbro ION Educational Gaming System

Worked with 360KID to develop several games for the innovative Hasbro ION Gaming System, including titles for Bob the Builder, the Wiggles, and Blue’s Clues. The ION system is “an electronic learning tool that uses unique motion-sensing technology to put your child live in the game, right on your TV.”

  • Challenging words are introduced to expand vocabulary
  • Import digital photos or drawings to personalize the book

Was lead programmer on the Flash production, working with a Director programmer as well to integrate BBY within a Director shell. Ultimately, users could order actual books based on their work via Lulu.com.
